QTS Data Center Rezoning
A landowner is asking to rezone 41 acres of agricultural land to the RTI overlay zone so it can eventually house a data center project. Neighbors raised concerns about water use, confidentiality clauses, and large-scale industrial creep, while proponents noted the site is already surrounded by existing data centers.
Infrastructure and Public Works
City Engineer Vince Hogge presented updates to the Culinary Water and Wastewater Impact Fee Facility Plans to incorporate the rapidly growing Spring Run and Talons Cove areas. The updates reflect rising construction costs and ensure new growth funds its own infrastructure.
Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Code
The city is updating code to comply with state law by letting homeowners in wildfire-prone areas clear vegetation around their homes. Final plats will also note WUI lots so buyers know what they're getting into.
